Support our Teachers as a Sponsor TOTY Celebration

Teacher of the Year Celebration Congratulations to the 2013 Paulding County School District Teachers of the Year!

Paulding Education Foundation is seeking sponsors to contribute gifts and sponsorship for the annual Teacher of the Year award ceremony. The celebration is set for May 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Paulding Jet Center located at Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport. The foundation will host a luncheon celebration for the teachers of the year from the district's 34 schools, and the district's Teacher of the Year award will be presented as part of the luncheon. The foundation is a nonprofit which raises funds for scholarships and grants for the district.

The Foundation awards a $1,000.00 scholarship to a graduating senior at each high school. The criteria for selection are based on grades, community involvement and contributions, and economic need.

Congratulations to Shamus Kenny of NPHS, recipient of the Blue Diamond SCHOLAR ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP 2012

This is a Scholarship Fund established by Blue Diamond Sports Inc. and the amount to be awarded will be $500.00 for a graduating Senior from one of the high schools in Paulding County.

Congratulations to Jonathon Boatman at PCHS, recipient of the SHEFFIELD FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP 2012

This is a Scholarship Fund established by The Sheffield Family and is available only to students who attend Paulding County High School. This program seeks to encourage excellence and achievement in both academics and participation in community/club or organizations activities.

Congratulations to Alexis Beam of EPHS, recipient of the JESSICA BOLES SCHOLARSHIP 2012

A $2,000.00 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior at East Paulding High School in the memory of Jessica Boles by her parents, Bill and Cheryl Boles. The criteria for selection are based on academics, community involvement and contributions, and economic need.

Congratulations to Whitney Okie of PCHS, recipient of the HUBERT AND BETTY MARTIN SCHOLARSHIP 2012

A $1,000.00 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior at Paulding County High School. The criteria for selection are based on academics and participation in the community or with an organization.

Congratulations to Whitney Okie of PCHS, recipient of the WESLEY RAKESTRAW SCHOLARSHIP 2012

One $3,000.00 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior with a 2.5 or higher GPA and being an active member in a civic organization or club.

Congratulations to Michael Russell of HHS, recipient of the RLR ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS SCHOLARSHIP 2012

A $1,000.00 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior at each of the following schools; East Paulding, Paulding, and Hiram High School who is majoring in math or science related field including but not limited to Architecture or Engineering.

If you paid for and did not receive a tshirt and you listed your
school, expect them to be delivered to your school next week beginning
5/15. If you did not list a school, you may pick your shirt up at the
Paulding County School District office at 3236 Atlanta Highway,
Dallas, GA 30132 beginning 5/15.

- Wii Contest Winners
A huge thanks to all those who participated.  We had a great turnout
but a few schools blew away the competition and will have a Wii Gaming
System awarded to their PE departments to enhace their physical
education programs.

  • 1st Place - Roberts Elementary
  • 2nd Place - Panter Elementary
  • 3rd Place - Union Elementary

Honorable Mention goes out to Nebo and Abney.  They just missed 3rd
place by a few entrants!

 

Middle and High School: Race Logo Design Contest

The foundation is sponsoring a Logo Design Contest for Lightbulb for Design middle and high school students due March 2nd at the district office. The logo will be used to promote the upcoming Cinco de Mayo 5K Race for Education sponsored by United Healthcare. Entrants are encouraged to design a Cinco de Mayo inspired logo that represents education and the 5K race. The winning design will be featured on race t-shirts and marketing materials distributed throughout Paulding County.

PEF Appoints Amy Mollohan as Executive Director

Paulding Education Foundation is expanding its impact on the Paulding Amy Mollohan as Executuve Director school system with the hiring of Amy Mollohan as Executive Director. This new position will help the business community further support projects and programs that aim to create a world class school system in Paulding County.

First Annual Golf Tournament

The Paulding Education Foundation celebrated their First Annual Golf Tournament First Annual Paulding Education Foundatino Golf Tournament on April 16, 2010 at the Plantation Golf Course in Cartersville, Georgia. Proceeds from the event went to support the educational programs of the Paulding School District, as well as the Wesley Rakestraw Endowment Fund to benefit two scholarships for Paulding County graduates.

The tournament was a great success with more than 50 players and volunteers participating in the event. A special thanks to the corporate sponsors of this event: Partition's General Contracting; RK Redding Construction Company; Ragsdale Heating and Air; Raker Construction Company, LLC; Greystone Power; and Owen Gleaton Law Firm. Hole Sponsors included the following: Building Specialties; First Citizens Bank; Howard Maxwell – All State Agency; and Wayne Tibbitts.
